Seeing the Upper Limit for Exactly What It Is

June 5, 2021

“I see you upper limit.”

Two flat tires in two weeks.

This time I saw it and made it to the tire shop!

Every time I level up in really significant ways like I have been, things go wrong. Sometimes it’s easy things, and sometimes it’s challenging things. Sometimes it’s a minor blip, and sometimes it’s broken body parts. Sometimes it’s simple, and sometimes it’s ridiculously expensive.

Either way, it’s a hook—something for my subconscious to latch onto and try and convince me to stop and go back.

But I know it when I see it.

So I breathe through the discomfort and the desire to give up and take the next step forward. I take care of myself while continuing to go for what I said I want. I don’t let it stop me, even if it slows me down for a bit, because I know what it is.

If you’re upper limiting right along with me, keep breathing through it. Pause and rest if you need, but don’t stop. Don’t let your subconscious derail you. Recommit to what you want as many times as it takes, and I promise you’ll come out the other side not only in one piece but happier for it!
