Grow Your Business Faster by Using Your Intuition

July 16, 2019

Making big business decisions is never easy.

But sometimes it feels impossible to make the right choice…the one that’s going to help you grow in the direction you want to grow, as quickly as possible.

At times like that, I’ve learned that the best tool to use is the one I always have at my disposal (and it comes for free!)… my intuition.

Your intuition shows up in those moments when you know you know –even though you can’t quite put your finger on why you know.

Your intuition is always right(if it’s actually your intuition and not fear), because intuition is our ability to read the energy and intention of any situation at hand. It’s not magic, it’s science! Actual, vibrational science.

And if you learn how to harness the power of your intuition, you’re soon going to build, not only a successful business, but one you’re passionate about as well!

Intuition in business, really?

Your intuition isn’t there only for the times your life is in danger (like the hair standing up on your neck when you go to walk down a dark alley). And no, it has nothing to do with the supernatural, nor is it “woo-woo”.

Your intuition is actually talking to you all the time.

The thing is, we’re not really in the habit of listening to what it says because we don’t understand that intuition lives in the body, NOT the mind. We also tell ourselves we’re not intuitive, saying things like…

My gut says nothing, I don’t trust myself that much, I prefer to look at the numbers, or I must have evidence. Sounds familiar, right?

Using intuition in your business doesn’t mean you put logic on the back burner!

Intuition doesn’t always negate or ignore the rational – it just gives you an additional resource for discerning between what’s a good opportunity or decision and what’s not.

Dozens of CEOs, entrepreneurs, and founders claim that part of the reason for their massive success lies in knowing how to follow their gut.

By knowing when it’s the right time to listen to your gut, you may be able to make better business decisions, come up with unique solutions, and definitely save yourself a few headaches down the line.

Trusting my intuition over the advice and strategies of some really high-level, well-known coaches over the years has paid off exponentially!! Financially, in how fulfilled I feel in my work, as well as in the results I’m able to provide my clients.

How to tap into your own intuition.

Connecting with your intuition is probably going to take some time and practice, but think of it as just another skill you’re trying to master. Here’s some of what’s helped me the most.

Work on calming the mind – daily.

If there’s too much noise in your mind, your intuition won’t be able to cut through (this explains why you can’t always hear it!). Remember, it lives in the body, not the mind, so working to calm your crazy thoughts is key.

Meditation is the best way to calm the mind. If you struggle sitting still, try journaling, doing a brain dump, or coloring – anything that helps you become more present.

Be aware of how fear sounds.

Sometimes it’s easy to mistake fear for intuition. The best way to discern the difference between the two of them is to get to the root of the feelings.

An intuitive ‘no’ can feel hesitant, contracted, closed, or like you’re physically pulling back and away…an awful lot like fear!

Trace the feelings you’re experiencing back to the root. Was it an immediate response in your body? It’s probably a no from your intuition. Or did you have a thought that prompted you to feel those feelings? It’s very likely fear is at play!

Hunches saved lives in ancient times…

…and if you listen to them today, they’re going to save you a lot of time and money, your most valuable business assets.

If you have a hunch about something – no matter whether it’s the good type or the bad type of hunch – you better heed it. 99% of the time, you’re onto something!

Trusting my intuition has been a major part of my success in business.

I’ve left tens of thousands of dollars on the table because my intuition said it wasn’t worth it. I’ve walked away from huge opportunities that looked great on paper. I’ve hired and fired by it. Learning to trust myself and my intuition above all else has saved me so much heartache over the years, and has lead me to creating my most profitable, fulfilling, and impactful offerings!

Do what you need to do in your day-to-day to stay tuned in and connected to your intuition. Take the time to track your body’s responses and the outcomes that follow and learn the language of how your intuition speaks to you.

It makes all the difference in the world.
