Watch the Cowards Fall

November 29, 2017

This has been a year of reclaiming my voice, taking up space, and learning to stay rooted when people fought hard to say that what’s true for me is wrong. Of becoming unapologetic about what I need and desire. Of learning to trust myself and my path above anything and anyone else.

It has not been an easy or graceful year.

And yet I’m happier than I’ve ever been, as well as surrounded by people who love, respect, understand, and meet me fully.

As Heather Havrilesky writes, “The more you dare to define what you will and won’t accept, the happier and more successful you’ll be. So be brave and be honest, and watch the cowards fall in your wake.”
