How to Use Speaking and Live Events to Build and Grow Your Business

October 12, 2016

In this episode I talk with Dustin Hogan, an inspirational speaker, entrepreneur, self-development mentor, and the founder of The Disciplined Dreamer movement. Whether it’s rocking the stage as a DJ in front of 2,000 people, or working one on one with high school students, Dustin feeds off his connection with other people. Dustin and I recently connected online and I immediately invited him to share his wisdom around speaking and live events as a marketing strategy… because in this digital age, it’s easy to forget that “in person” is a really powerful tool for growing your business.

Dustin and I talk about his background as a DJ and how that influenced his work as he began leaning into speaking and live events as a business model. Besides his website, Dustin is completely “in person” focused when it comes to serving and growing his audience… nothing online, and no one-on-one coaching, which many people worry they “have” to do. He also shares how he crafted his live content by working one-on-one for a short period of time to carefully create the process with his ideal clients, as well as how his model works from smaller events rolling up into longer in person intensives. He has lots of wisdom to share in this episode, so let’s dive in!
