From My Bookshelf: Operator’s Manual for Planet Earth

February 5, 2014

I often get asked by coaching clients and Foundations members, what am I reading? What books do I recommend for particular challenges they’re experiencing? So I’m excited to bring in a new blog feature where I’ll be sharing some recently read books as well as old favorites that have impacted my life and business.

Towards the end of last year, I finally picked up a book that was gifted to me over four years ago… Operator’s Manual for Planet Earth: An Adventure for the Soul.

I couldn’t believe how long it took me to read this amazing book!

Operator’s Manual for Planet Earth should be required reading in schools around the world. Seriously.

Dr. Trinidad Hunt did a wonderful job with this book. It’s such an easy to follow and interesting story that sums up everything I’ve believed to be true about life, energy, the Universe and connection. Almost every single page had be bouncing around enthusiastically saying “yessssss” because it was so on point.

This book is truly a spiritual adventure for the soul and is a very fun and unique story to follow. The short of the story is that you’re following souls that have yet to come into this world as they prepare for their life and mission on Earth. They go through a series of “simulations” that each have their own beautiful metaphor and life lesson.

The guidelines provided in this “operator’s manual” for the story characters was one of my favorite parts and contains incredibly relevant reminders for us all.

I loved this book so much I gave it as a gift over the holidays. If you’re looking for something spiritual and inspiring, but not your typical self help or spirituality book, I highly recommend giving this one a read. 🙂
