Growth Isn’t Meant to Be Easy

June 17, 2017

Growth isn’t meant to be easy and seamless and without hard days. It’s meant to stretch us beyond our edges, to make us better and stronger and more capable of doing the work we feel called to do. Of becoming the person we’re here to be. Living the life we so deeply desire to live.

It’s not always pretty.
But that doesn’t mean you give up.

That doesn’t mean you ignore your calling and settle for a life of routine and monotony where you die a slow death while you’re still alive. It doesn’t mean you aren’t cut out for the life and relationships you want. It just means that sometimes it’s going to be hard. Sometimes it’s going to hurt. And that’s okay… in fact, it’s more than okay… it’s part of the process.

The more we resist the hard parts, the longer they persist. The sooner we face into them, feel them fully, and allow them to unfold into what comes next… the happier we are. The more we grow. The more aligned we become with all we desire to create.
