I Ask for What I Want

April 18, 2017

These days I ask for what I want.
I speak my heart’s deepest desires.
And I firmly set and hold my boundaries.

No apologies.
No concern for judgment.
No fear of anyone’s push back.

It took me years to get here… because once upon a time setting boundaries or taking a stand for my needs meant I would get hurt or someone might die. Literally. That’s a lot of fear and trauma to override. And it’s taken a lot of trust in myself and the people I choose to surround myself with to own my preferences, needs, desires, and boundaries. It’s taken a deep commitment to healing, an endless practice of doing the hard work.

Life is better when you ask for what you want, when you go after all that you desire, and when you trust yourself enough to hold the boundaries that matter most to YOU. Because you start to see the tangible results of that shift reflected back to you in the people, experiences, and opportunities that show up.

I love my life. I love the shape my business is beginning to take. I love the experiences and adventures I have. And I love, love, love all the sweet souls I get to experience all of it with.

I ask for what I want.
I speak my heart’s deepest desires.
And I firmly set and hold my boundaries.

Because I HONOR and TRUST myself enough to do so. 💕
