Say Yes to Growth

May 15, 2019

Throughout our lives there are moments that invite us to step forward. To move into what comes next and grow into more. Moments that ask us if we’re willing to be braver and bolder with this one life of ours. If we’re willing to do the work to show up full out and fully expressed. To become who we were always meant to be.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Most people say no.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
They want to say yes, and they may even have a longing in their hearts to do exactly what is needed to grow… but they will often choose the known and familiar, the comfortable and routine, over doing what needs to be done.⁣⁣⁣⁣

Because growth? ⁣⁣
Holy hell is it hard. ⁣⁣⁣⁣

It will stretch you further than you’ve ever gone before, but that’s the point. To become more you have to let go of who you believe yourself to be, along with all the ways you keep yourself comfortable and secure. It requires sacrificing that which no longer serves you, in order to make space for what comes next. For who you’re becoming and the life you’re capable of living. It often requires letting go of the hands that held you, the places and spaces that once nurtured you, and all the ways of being you believe keep you safe and successful.⁣⁣⁣

Of course most people say no.⁣⁣

⁣There’s nothing comfortable about growth, because you’re always on an edge. You’re always pushing past what feels good, easy, or safe. You’re always risking failure and you’re always standing smack dab in the middle of the unknown.⁣⁣⁣⁣

But if you want to say yes… just lean in a little bit more each day, unfolding it all piece by piece.⁣⁣

⁣⁣Just practice surrendering to the unknown, building the trust and faith you need to carry yourself forward as you do.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Just choose to settle into the discomfort, because it’s literally what it feels like to change on a cellular level. Really, actually, neurologically, and physiologically. That’s all.⁣⁣⁣⁣

We are meant to grow.⁣⁣
Always and endlessly.⁣⁣

⁣⁣Don’t you want to know what you’re truly capable of? I know I do.⁣⁣ ⁣
One step at a time.⁣
