Change Is Hard

January 14, 2020

Change is hard.
Leaving your comfort zone is hard.
Starting a whole new chapter in life is hard.

But I also know it’s much harder to live a life that’s not aligned. One where you’re not happy and don’t feel like you can be yourself because it’s not true to who you are and who you’re becoming.

I learned the hard way that not speaking your truth comes with a cost and, more often than not, your body pays the price. Not living my truth cost me a lot over the last several years. I was in excruciating pain, struggled to swallow, had awful adrenal fatigue, and could barely function at times… all because I’d been stuffing down too many truths.

We can’t hold ourselves responsible for the choices others make – nor should we – but we can always hold ourselves responsible for the choices we make. For our life, our health, and our happiness.

Always.

Choosing change is hard and heartbreaking at first, but it gets easier with time. You find your footing and you start moving forward with a little more grace and a few less tears.

One step at a time.
It’s worth it.
