4 Liberating Truths About Your Business

April 8, 2021

As a novice entrepreneur, how often do you feel forced to do something?

These days, you can find all sorts of advice online that more often than not, makes you feel like you HAVE to do something in order to succeed.

My experience is actually, quite the opposite. All of that pressure to do something just because everyone else is doing it… well, let’s just say it’s not doing you or your business any good.

That’s why today, I want to share with you four liberating truths about your business that are going to allow you to step away from the noise and build your business your own way.

1. You don’t HAVE to do anything you don’t want

Let’s say it one more time, so people in the back can hear:

YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING YOU DON’T WANT TO DO.

Just because someone’s doing something and it’s working for them, it doesn’t mean you should do the same.

Not feeling comfortable dancing on TikTok? Feel like your blogs are all over the place? Absolutely hate podcasts? Here’s your permission NOT to do any of that!

Find what YOU enjoy and focus your energy there instead. Trust me, your audience can tell if you’re actually enjoying something or doing it because everyone else is doing it.

2. You can sell WITHOUT selling

Someone told you that you have to be more aggressive with your sales to bring more revenue to your business?

I beg to differ!

Not everyone’s comfortable implementing certain sales techniques in their business… and if we’re honest here, most of us HATE the sleazy, pushy, pressure-based car salesman way of doing business!

There’s a way to make sales without high-pressure selling. It looks like getting clear on what your prospect or audience is looking for and sharing how YOU have a solution for them. And when we start by listening to where they’re at and what they desire to create, it makes it easy and exciting to share our solutions! This makes selling far more fun and effective for everyone.

3. You don’t HAVE to accept every single client

In the early stages of your business, you probably feel ecstatic whenever you manage to sign a client.

But you’ll soon learn that not every client is your ideal client.

And that’s completely normal – there’s nothing wrong in turning clients down if you know you’re not a good fit.

Actually, by saying NO to clients, you’ll be doing both of you a favor! This way, you save yourself some precious time and energy AND you help your client move one step closer to finding the person who’s the best fit for them.

4. You can run your business in a way that aligns with YOUR values

There isn’t a single right way to run a business… and anyone trying to convince you otherwise isn’t doing you any favors.

If you want your business to work in the long run, your business strategy has to be aligned with who you are and what you value, even if you’re not building a personal brand.

Remember: any strategy that doesn’t take into consideration the type of person you are and why you started in the first place takes you to a place you won’t be happy with.
