How We Start Living Our Purpose

November 23, 2022

I get asked a lot in interviews how we start living our purpose, and while I know people want some magical action step or unexpected exercise, my answer is always the same: you have to come into alignment with yourself first.

You have to know who you are and how to work with your unique personality and energetics. You have to be able to hear and trust yourself and your intuition. You have to be able to claim your big desires rather than what you think you should want or what other people want for you.

We don’t like this answer because it’s not the work we’re willing to do. We’re willing to do some magical action step or unexpected exercise because we hope there’s some easy path to living fully expressed that we haven’t been told about. Some secret that bypasses the healing and growth, risk and discomfort, and terrifying steps we don’t want to take.

There’s not.

There’s only coming into alignment and doing the challenging work from there to show up fully expressed and build a fully aligned life.

Process work rapidly accelerates our healing.

Acupressure repatterns our beliefs with ease.

Mentorship helps us push our edges more confidently.

Taking big, bold actions forward teaches us how capable we are, reducing fear and amplifying our sense of ease.

But there’s no shortcut.

There’s no secret.

The good news is you’re already wired to live your purpose.

It’s hardcoded into you, and you have everything you need to bring your big desires to life. It doesn’t matter how far “off course” you’ve wandered. It doesn’t matter how broken and beaten down you feel. It doesn’t matter how misaligned or overwhelming your present circumstances are. You can, at any moment, begin living your fullest expression.

And when you do?

The world reconfigures around you, and new possibilities and pathways open. What you want moves towards you. You become a match for more, better, and different, and nothing is ever the same.

It’s not woo-woo or wishful thinking; it’s how our frequency-based universe works.

And it’s never too late to start.
